Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 20) — Three police officers of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) were relieved from their posts for their alleged involvement in the leakage of the video of veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez, who died on Sunday.
The officers relieved on Wednesday were PLt. Col. Reynaldo Parlade, Police Station 11 commander; and Senior Master Sgt. Wilfredo Canilao, and Cpl. Romel Rosales, both first responders.
The viral video shows the body of the actor following his death.
“Based on the initial investigation of Quezon City Anti Cyber Crime Team, another personnel of PS 11 posted the said video in their Viber group while three civilian Facebook accounts were identified as the first to upload the video and compilation of photos of the incident in Facebook,” the QCPD said in a statement.
The QCPD already requested the Philippine National Police (PNP) Anti-Cybercrime Group to take down the video online.
\”Refrain from sharing po itong very sensitive na video na ito,\” said PNP spokesperson PCol. Jean Fajardo in a press briefing Wednesday.

\”It was not intended na i-share po kasi let us respect po ’yung privacy ng biktima po at kanyang pamilya,\” she added. \”Siguro one way of condoling with the family is for us to refrain from sharing that video.\”
