Benison Estareja, a weather specialist at the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), said the low pressure area (LPA) 140 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur combined with the shear line will impact Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Catanduanes, and Romblon, bringing moderate to heavy with at times intense rains.

Light to moderate rains are expected over the Camarines provinces and the remaining parts of Mimaropa and Quezon province.

The LPA is expected to be almost stationary on Friday, then move somewhere between the Visayas and Mindanao by Saturday. The following day, it is expected to be between Bicol and the Visayas.

PAGASA said the LPA may dissipate on Monday.
