Metro Manila, Philippines – Filipino American Tallulah Proulx placed 52nd in the women’s giant slalom in the 2026 Winter Olympics at the Olimpia delle Tofane in Cortina, Italy on Feb. 15, Sunday.
The 17-year-old Alpine skier recorded a combined time of 2:41.62 across two runs.
Proulx, who traces her roots to Eastern Samar, is the first Filipina and youngest Winter Olympian in Philippine history.
Proulx ranked 59th after the first run with a time of 1:17.15, then had a better performance in the second run with a time of 1:24.47 for 52nd place.
Federica Brignone of Italy bagged the gold medal with a total time of 2:13.50, while Sara Hector of Sweden and Thea Louise Stjernesund of Norway shared the silver with an identical 2:14.12.
Proulx will hit the slopes again on Wednesday, Feb. 18, for the women’s slalom event.
Francis Ceccarelli, the other Filipino competing in the Winter Olympics, finished in 54th place in the men’s giant slalom on Saturday, Feb. 14.
