Metro Manila, Philippines – Posts claiming that there will be “Grade 13” in School Year 2025-2026 are fake, the Department of Education (DepEd) said.
“Walang pinag-uusapan na Grade 13? Walang intention na magka-Grade 13?” Pasig City Rep. Roman Romulo asked the agency during a committee hearing on Monday, May 19.
Education Assistant Secretary Janir Datukan affirmed there was no such thing.
“We are investigating kung saan talaga nanggaling [its origin], Mr. Chair,” told the committee hearing.
