Gov’t work, classes suspended due to non-stop rains on July 24

Metro Manila, Philippines – Several cities and academic institutions have declared class suspensions for Tuesday, July 24, due to Typhoon Carina (international name: Gaemi).

State weather forecasters said in its 5 p.m. bulletin that Carina has further intensified as it moves northward, enhancing the southwest monsoon.

The following LGUs and academic institutions have suspended onsite work and classes:

All levels, public and private

– Malabon City

– Navotas City

– Cavite

– Calamba, Laguna

– San Pedro, Laguna

– Biñan, Laguna

Government office

– Batanes
