Metro Manila, Philippines — Sixteen national road sections have been closed to traffic after Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami) battered the country, the Department of Public Works and Highways said on Sunday, Oct. 27.
As of 11 a.m., the following national road sections are not available for motorists:+ Lubuagan-Batong Buhay-Abra Boundary Road (Cordillera Administrative Region)+ Cagayan-Apayao Road (Cagayan Valley)+ Candaba-San Miguel Road (Central Luzon)+ Baliwag-Candaba-Santa Ana Road (Central Luzon)+ Nasugbu-Lian-Calatagan Road (Calabarzon)+ Talisay-Laurel-Agoncillo Road (Calabarzon)+ Bauan-Mabini-Circumferential Road (Calabarzon)+ Tagbac-Lubang-Looc Road (Mimaropa)+ Albay West Coast Road (Bicol Region)+ Ligao-Pio Duran Road (Bicol Region)+ Libon-Bacolod-San Vicente-Marocmoc Buga Road (Bicol Region)+ Dancalan-Santa Cruz, Donsol-Pioduran Road (Bicol Region)+ Milaor-Minalabac-Pili Road (Bicol Region)+ Nabua-Balatan Road (Bicol Region)+ Catanduanes Circumferential Road (Bicol Region)+ Dalaguete, Mantalongon-Badian Road (Central Visayas)The roads suffered rock collapse, flooding, and silted pavement among other impacts of Kristine.Thirteen national road sections – 10 in Bicol Region, two in Calabarzon, and one in CAR – have limited access.Meanwhile, the following national bridges are impassable to motorists:+ Itawes Bridge in Cagayan (flooded)+ Bugaan Bridge in Batangas (washed out)+ Waras Bridge in Camarines Sur (collapsed)
