
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) – Mahindra traded Aldrech Ramos and its 2017 second round pick to the Star Hotshots for RR Garcia and Alex Mallari.
The Floodbuster also sent Paolo Taha to Barangay Ginebra for Franklin Bonifacio and Dennice Villamor.
Mahindra then dealt Garcia and Keith Agovida to the San Miguel Beermen in exchange for Ryan Araña and a 2018 first round pick.
Looking to bolster their lineup for the upcoming season, Mahindra had the most number of players selected in the recently-concluded draft with five – Russel Escoto, Joseph Eriobu, Cedrick Ablaza, Jan Jamon, and Paolo Pontejos.
Reigning Governors’ Cup champions Barangay Ginebra picked Kevin Ferrer, Jammer Jamito, and Jericho De Guzman. The Hotshots got college superstar Jiovani Jalalon and UE alum Chris Javier in the hopes to turn their fortunes around.
San Miguel, meanwhile, fortified its front court depth after getting Arnold Van Opstal, Rashawn McCarthy, and Jovit Dela Cruz.
In a deal previously approved by the Commissioner’s Office, the NLEX Road Warriors acquired the rights to Carlo Lastimosa in exchange for James Forrester.
Meanwhile, the Meralco Bolts traded high-leaping guard Rey Guevarra to GlobalPort for veteran Joseph Yeo.
