Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 25) — The Philippine team bagged the first-ever Southeast Asian Games ice hockey gold medal Thursday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Filipinos outlasted their Thai counterparts, 5-4, in the finals match of men’s hockey.
Ice hockey is one of the four new sports added to the SEA Games together with figure skating, speed skating, and cricket.
