More Quezon City barangays to suffer from service interruptions – Manila Water

More than a million households in Metro Manila and nearby provinces will bear the brunt of the planned cut in supply by Maynilad and Manila Water.

East zone concessionaire Manila Water announced more barangays (villages) in the city will experience service interruptions beginning Tuesday due to a damaged high voltage line.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 13) — Heads up, Quezon City residents!

“Due to the accidental damage of a high voltage line supplying power to our facilities in Balara, Quezon City, several facilities needed to operate under gen-set power supply, affecting the operations of our treatment plant,” the water concessionaire said in an advisory Tuesday.

Households of the following barangays will have low pressure to no water service interruptions:

Manila Water earlier in the day announced that around 20,000 households from Barangays Holy Spirit, Pasong Tamo and Sauyo will have a three-day supply interruption due to power supply transfer activities at its Luzon Water Treatment Plant.

Here is the schedule of water service interruptions for the three areas:

August 13, Tuesday at 8 p.m. to August 14, Wednesday at 6 a.m.

August 14, Wednesday at 8 p.m. to August 15, Thursday at 6 a.m.

August 15, Thursday at 8 p.m. to August 16, Friday at 6 a.m.
