
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 27) — A magnitude 5.1 quake shook Eastern Samar Sunday afternoon, although no casualties were reported.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the epicenter of the tremor was located 57 kilometers east of Hernani town.
It added Intensity II was felt in Palo, Leyte.
The agency said aftershocks were expected, but there’s no anticipated damage.
