6 inmates escape from Tabaco City prison in Albay

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 26) — Six inmates broke out of the Tabaco City District Jail in Albay on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Albay Police Provincial Office.

The six escaped sometime between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., police said in a notice posted on its Facebook page.

The prisoners on the loose were identified as Alfonso Boneta Ceneta and Benjamin Apellado Reyes Jr., both charged with murder; Eric Belmil Barrameda, accused of homicide; Kebin Bayani Braga accused of child abuse; Glen Agripa Balmedina, accused of rape; and Rodney Pangantihon Cagud, accused of carnapping.

Authorities appeal to anyone with lead or information, which may help get them back into custody, to contact the Tabaco City Police Station at 09985985930, the BJMP Tabaco City District Jail, or any of the nearest police stations and BJMP offices in their area.
