Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 13) — There will be a lot of personal revelations and inspiring stories to be shared about celebrities in this new online talk show to be hosted by the country’s “Queen of Soul”, Jaya.
“There are certain things na behind the scenes na napag uusapan namin, na baka dito talaga ma-reveal… you know what I mean?”

The multi-award-winning soul and R&B singer talked about the nature of her new talk show called “Straight Talk with Jaya,” revealing that it will be full of fun and interesting storytelling.
According to Jaya, celebrities in the entertainment industry tend to avoid certain topics and conversations in interviews on national television.
She said she hopes her guests will be open to her in the new show, since most of them are her long-time friends.
“Loka-lokahan lang talaga and saya-sayahan lang, but with a bit of inspiring messages also towards the end.”

Jaya shared that this online show was the idea of her management, Cornerstone Entertainment.
“Since this is like the new norm right now, napakarami po nating nakikitang mga online content (we see a lot of online content),” she said.
“And Cornerstone Entertainment, the management company that handles me, naisip nila na, bakit hindi ka mag-talk show (they thought, why not do a talk show)?”
Despite being excited about her new show, Jaya, who has been in show business for three decades, confessed that she still gets nervous.
“I get so frazzled. Nanenerbyos ako (I get nervous). But of course, I trust that Cornerstone is really with me throughout all these, and I just pray,” she said.
Jaya shared that hosting a talk show can be different from hosting any other television shows, that’s why she prays for everything to go smoothly.
“I pray to God that he’ll give me all the wisdom, and all the energy, and courage.”
“Straight Talk with Jaya” will premiere on Sunday at 6p.m. on the Cornerstone Entertainment Facebook page, with her first guests and long-time friends Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Lani Misalucha.
