Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 7) — There are now more than 400 health personnel who have recovered from the coronavirus disease, the Department of Health said Thursday.
The agency reported that 403 medical frontliners survived the deadly illness. However, there have been 27 more who have reportedly contracted it, bringing the total to 1,886. Meanwhile, no new deaths were reported, so the death toll stays at 34.
The DOH noted that the daily count of health workers who tested positive for COVID-19 has been decreasing since April 11. The agency earlier said their online seminars or “webinars” with hospitals on the use of protective gear helped lessen the number of infected medical staff.
