CNN Philippines (March 4) – A low pressure area is likely to drench Mindanao by Thursday or Friday, a forecaster said Wednesday.

Paciente said they are expecting only one or no weather disturbance to affect the country’s weather conditions this month.

Paciente said it will gradually start to become warmer by April.

This is if the LPA, last spotted east of Mindanao, will not dissipate within the next two days, Rene Paciente, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration weather specialist told CNN Philippines.

Meanwhile, northeast monsoon is still affecting the weather conditions of Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands, bringing them cloudy skies and light rains.

The rest of the country will have generally hot weather with some chances of cloudy skies and isolated rains or thunderstorms due to the easterlies, Aurelio said.

The temperature in Metro Manila would range from 23 to 31 degrees Celsius.
