
(CNN Philippines, February 28) — A magnitude 5.5 earthquake has rocked Davao Occidental Friday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake, caused by a shifting of the earth’s surface, had a depth of 130 kilometers in Sarangani, Davao Occidental at 3a.m.
Intensity II was recorded in Tupi, South Cotabato, and Albel and Malungon, Sarangani.
Meanwhile, Intensity I was felt in General Santos City and Kiamba, Sarangani, and Koronadal City.
Phivolcs warned of aftershocks but are not expecting any damage.
