Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 4) — Beginning November 9, voter registration will be from Mondays to Fridays to allow for disinfection of offices on Saturdays, the Commission on Elections announced.
“The Commission on Elections deems it necessary to revert to the weekday schedule to make way for Saturday disinfection days in all offices of the election officer nationwide,” COMELEC spokesperson James Jimenez said in a statement Thursday.
The applicants could go to any Office of the Election Officer from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
When COMELEC resumed the listing on September 1 — except in areas under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) and modified ECQ — the schedule was from Tuesdays to Saturdays.
On October 31, voter registration will be suspended in observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, the commission said in a separate advisory. It will resume on November 3, it added.
