Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 22) — Manila Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna will seek to take over the post that will be vacated by Mayor Isko Moreno next year.
Actor-turned-politician John “Yul Servo” Nieto, meanwhile, will run as her vice mayor.
This tandem was confirmed on Wednesday after they were endorsed by Moreno, who also formally announced his plans to run for president in the May 2022 elections.
If Lacuna wins the local elections, she will become the capital city’s first female mayor.
