Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 25) — Laguna 2nd District Representative Ruth Mariano-Hernandez on Wednesday said she has tested positive for COVID-19.
The announcement came just a few days after her husband, Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez, also confirmed having caught the coronavirus.
The lawmaker said she will be in quarantine for the next two weeks but did not elaborate on her medical condition.
Her husband on Sunday reported having experienced only mild COVID-19 symptoms.
The congresswoman also said she will continue to work and participate in meetings of the House of Representatives remotely.
