Negrense tops PMA Masaligan Class 2021

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 3) – A native of San Enrique town in Negros Occidental province was hailed as valedictorian of Philippine Military Academy Masaligan Class of 2021.

Cadet 1CL Janrey Artus achieved summa cum laude honors and will lead the Masaligan (MAndirigmang SAmahan na Lakas at SandIGAN ng Bayan) class comprised of 138 males and 26 females.

Prior to his entry in the PMA, the 25-year-old Artus studied chemical engineering at the University of the Philippines Visayas.

Artus will join the Philippine Navy after his graduation.

Cadet 1CL Daryl Brix Colita of Malaglag, Davao del Sur is the PMA Class of 2021’s salutatorian.

On the other hand, Cadet 1CL Valerie Mae Dicang of La Trinidad, Benguet is the highest -ranked female graduate of the PMA 2021 Class, where she finished third in the batch and attained magna cum laude honors.

The seven other graduating cadets who are part of the PMA Masaligan Class of 2021 Top 10 performing graduates are:

5. Cadet 1CL Christine Joyce Andog of Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija

6. Cadet 1CL Feljoy Ending of Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental

7. Cadet 1CL Harold Mars Sastado of Batangas City, Batangas

8. Cadet 1CL Pamela Calleja of Malinao, Albay

9. Cadet 1CL Michael Angelo Madriga of Tabuk City, Kalinga

10. Cadet 1CL Shirley Fatima Lim of Tacloban City

Around 82 graduates of the PMA Masaligan Class of 2021 will join the Army, 46 will be part of the Navy, and 36 of them will work for the Air Force.

The commencement exercises for the new cadets will be on May 10.
