Local governments race to control spread of virus

The surge in cases prompted the Metro Manila council to enforce a region-wide curfew from 10PM to 5AM. Some local governments have also imposed lockdowns in areas with a high number of COVID-19 cases. Authorities are now racing against time to flatten the curve.
