“It is most likely that we will recommend the possible revocation,” said Renante Melitante, officer-in-charge of the LTO Intelligence and Investigation Division.
The SUV can be impounded anytime, LTO officials said.
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 10)— The owner of the SUV involved in the hit-and-run incident in Mandaluyong City once again failed to show up at the hearing scheduled at the Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Friday.
This is the second and final show cause order the driver has snubbed following the June 5 incident, which left a security guard hospitalized due to serious injuries.
Authorities earlier said that a non-appearance in the hearing would mean the revocation of the driver’s license, which has been placed under preventive suspension.
Police earlier charged the driver of the SUV with frustrated murder and abandonment of one’s own victim.
Meanwhile, the victim was discharged from the hospital Thursday afternoon, according to his security agency.
