Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 4) – Philippine women’s football team defensive specialist Dominique Randle earned a spot in the preseason roster of National Women’s Soccer League squad Angel City FC.
The 27-year-old Randle is one of the four additions in the updated preseason roster of the Los Angeles-based football club, which plays in the most popular women’s football competition in the United States.
The Seattle-born center back is expected to bolster the backline of the squad, like what she did in her national team debut in the 2022 AFC Women’s Asian Cup last January.
In that continental football tournament, Randle started in all of the Filipinas’ fixtures and became a big factor on the defensive side in clinching the country’s first ever qualification in the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Before her Philippine team debut, Randle was part of the University of Southern California Trojans women’s football team from 2014-2017.
