Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 25) — LJay Gonzales sank the game-winning triple as the Far Eastern University Tamaraws reasserted their mastery of the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles, 62-59, in UAAP Season 86 men’s basketball Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The senior guard finished with 19 points, nine rebounds, and five assists for the Tamaraws which swept the Blue Eagles in their elimination round series this season.

Chris Koon paced the Blue Eagles with 14 markers, four boards, and four dimes.
The Tamaraws improved to 3-5 in the team standings, while Ateneo fell to .500 at 4-4.
FEU will hope to continue its resurgence against the Adamson University Soaring Falcons on Oct. 28 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. Meanwhile, the Blue Eagles will meet the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons in the ‘Battle of Katipunan’ on the same day.
