Metro Manila, Philippines – Content creator Mimiyuuuh has responded to online criticism over her evolving content, saying she’s happy with life after a viral social media post stated that some longtime fans no longer relate to her videos.
In a post on X on Wednesday, Sept.2, Mimiyuuuh shared a message about embracing her chapter.
“I’m so in love with the life I’m living right now. And maybe that’s all that truly matters. Grateful to everyone po who helped me find my way here. Life is lifing opo!” she wrote.
A viral tweet discussed the shift in Mimiyuuuh’s content from relatable comedy videos to luxury lifestyle content.
The post said viewers were not criticizing Mimiyuuuh for becoming successful or wealthy, but for moving away from the “kanal humor” that first attracted many followers to content featuring Chanel and Louis Vuitton purchases, designer fashion, and expensive home interiors.
“Wala naman sila reklamo na yumaman si Mimi,” the post said, adding that some fans simply feel “out of place” because they can no longer relate to her content.
From viral comedy to luxury lifestyle
Mimiyuuuh rose to fame through comedic YouTube and social media videos during the late 2010s, becoming known for her over-the-top characters, candid storytelling, and everyday Filipino humor.
The online content creator drew fans over her “dalagang Pilipina” continents with a traditional plastic cabinet backdrop.
Her recent content has increasingly featured designer shopping hauls, condominium makeovers, international travel, and other lifestyle milestones.
