Carmelle Collado to represent PH at Eurovision Asia 2026

Metro Manila, Philippines – Carmelle Collado, known by her stage name Carmelle, will be the Philippines’ first representative at the debut of the Eurovision Song Contest Asia on Nov. 14, 2026.

Ten performers competed at the Philippine Selection Night on Sunday, Aug. 30, to face-off for the lone slot at the international sing-off which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 19-year-old singer trumped nine other contestants with her performance of the song “Sobra-Sobra,” written by Nica del Rosario and Mat Olavides.

Carmelle will once again perform “Sobra-Sobra” on the international stage.

In 2019, the Star Magic singer represented the Philippines at the World Championships of Performing Arts in California, US, where she won seven gold medals when she was just 12-years-old. She is also a former Pinoy Big Brother housemate.

Meanwhile, the other locked-in contestants are Bhutanese singer Nyendra, who will perform “Lhayi Semo”; and Alna Abdul of Malaysia, whose song has not yet been revealed.

Singers from Korea, Nepal, Laos, Thailand, Bangladesh, and Vietnam will also compete for a spot at Eurovision Asia 2026 over the next few months.
