Metro Manila, Philippines – Angelica Lopez of Palawan was crowned the inaugural Reina Filipinas Grand International 2026, earning the Philippines representation at the 14th Miss Grand International pageant in India this October.

Lopez, a former Binibining Pilipinas International titleholder, bested the field with her answer to the final question on the role she hopes Reina Filipinas would play amid the growing number of pageants in the local scene.

“I understand that every pageant serves a purpose, and so do Reina Filipinas. Here, they have business, which gives the women the opportunity to learn new skills and to be more empowered and to elevate as a person, whether it be in sports, entertainment, and business,” said Lopez.

She added that the pageant provides an “empowered platform” where women can pursue progress, development, and productivity.

Lopez previously represented the Philippines at Miss International 2024 in Tokyo, Japan, but did not advance to the Top 20.

She was also first runner-up at Miss Asia Global 2022.

Lopez said she now looks to continue the country’s winning streak at Miss Grand International after CJ Opiaza won the title in 2024 and Emma Mary Tiglao followed in 2025.

Meanwhile, Cleopatra Barrera of Zambales was named first runner-up, followed by Isabella Ortega of Camarines Sur, Zeah Nestle Pala of Mandaluyong, and Luisa Benavides of Caloocan as the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.

Alexie Caimoso Brooks of Iloilo City and Anne Patricia Lorenzo Diaz of Manila were named the inaugural Reina Filipinas MGI All Stars.
