Metro Manila, Philippines – Taiwan has extended its visa-free entry program for Philippine passport holders for another year, allowing eligible Filipinos to visit the self-ruled island without a visa for up to 14 days until July 31, 2027.
The extension takes effect on Aug. 1, and applies to ordinary Philippine passport holders on short stay.
Taiwan said it was a reciprocal move to the Philippine decision to continue granting 14-day visa-free entry to Taiwanese passport holders.
Earlier this month, the Manila Economic and Cultural Office announced that the Philippines had extended its own visa-free entry program for Taiwanese nationals from July 1 to June 30, 2027, also for up to 14 days under a reciprocal arrangement.
Taiwan first granted visa-free entry to Filipinos in 2017 under a pilot program that has been renewed annually.
