Metro Manila, Philippines – Tropical Depression Ester is out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility as of 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, the weather bureau said.
In its advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Ester was last seen 540 kilometers north northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.
The agency said the monsoon triggered by the storm will cause heavy rainfall in these areas at the weekend: Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Benguet, Zambales, and Bataan
“It must be emphasized that heavy rainfall and severe winds may still be experienced in localities outside the landfall point and the forecast confidence cone,” PAGASA said.
