Metro Manila, Philippines – PBA courtside reporter Apple David clapped back at critics of her rumored romance with Letran Knights guard Chad Gammad.
The 33-year-old David went live on TikTok on Monday, May 25, and lashed out at the netizens criticizing her for dating someone who is 15 years her junior.
While she has yet to confirm or deny their current status, David said there is nothing wrong with getting into a relationship with someone younger, especially when their families support them.
“Sobrang hirap bang rumespeto ng desisyon ng ibang tao? We’re happy. Supportive ang families namin. Ang pangit lang na we’re happy tapos sinisira niyo ang happiness namin,” she said.
[Translation: Is it hard to respect other people’s decisions? Our families are supportive. It’s just bad that you are ruining our happiness.]
“Masama bang bigyan ng chance? Nag-click eh. Anong gagawin ko? What am I supposed to do?” she added.
[Translation: Is it bad to give it a chance? We clicked. What can I do about it?]
David explained that there are things in life that just happen for a reason, and all the noise will not benefit anyone and instead bring unnecessary stress.
“Sa buhay ba natin lagi tayong nakakapili? Paano yung mga bagay na biglang dumating na lang na sitwasyon tapos sometimes you just can’t explain it? I cannot explain it. I guess kahit anong ingay gawin niyo, paabutin niyo pa sa kabilang universe ‘tong issue, kahit ano pang bashing yung sabihin niyo, saan kayo aabutin niyan? Kayo lang yung nase-stress,” she said.
[Translation: In life, do we always get to choose? What if someone suddenly comes into your life and you just can’t explain it? I can’t explain it. Even if you bring this issue to a different universe with all the bashing, you’re the only one stressed by it.]
