Metro Manila, Philippines – The Philippines clinched their third consecutive men’s baseball gold medal after beating host country Thailand, 5-3, in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games on Friday, Dec. 12.
The Philippines swept the competition to nab its fourth SEA Games gold following triumphant stints in 2005, 2011, and 2019. The lone exception that the country did not finish on top was a silver medal finish in 2007.
Indonesia settled for bronze with a 10-9 victory over Singapore earlier in the day.
The Philippines now has seven gold medals in the ongoing biennial meet.
