Filipino pride: Lea Salonga, Liza Soberano, H.E.R, Manny Jacinto lead animated film ‘Forgotten Island’

Metro Manila, Philippines – Filipino talent is set to take centerstage as artists of Filipino descent are set to headline the voice cast of Dreamwork’s upcoming animated movie “Forgottten Island.”

The American animation studio made the cast reveal on Wednesday, Oct. 29, which includes Broadway star Lea Salonga, actress Liza Soberano, Filipino-American singer-songwriter H.E.R., and Filipino-Canadian actor Manny Jacinto. The action-comedy adventure film features the story of lifelong best friends – to be voiced by Soberano and H.E.R – who get stranded on the so-called forgotten island, according to Hollywood press Deadline.Also joining the voice cast are American actors Dave Franco and Jenny Slate.The film is directed by renowned animated movie creator Joel Crawford and Fil-Am director Januel Mercado.
