Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 19) — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Tuesday extended the operating hours of railway lines for the expected influx of passengers during the holiday season.
From Dec. 20 to 23, the DOTr said MRT-3’s last trip at the North Avenue Station is extended until 10:30 p.m., adding an hour from its original last trip scheduled at 9:30 p.m., while the last trip from Taft Avenue Station will be 11:05 p.m. instead of 10:09 p.m.
The DOTr also extended the last trip leaving Baclaran Station of LRT-1 at 10:45 p.m., while the last train from Fernando Poe Jr. Station is at 11:00 p.m.
For LRT-2, the last trip leaving Antipolo Station will be at 10 p.m. from the original 9 p.m., while the last trip from Recto Station will be 10:30 p.m. from its original schedule of 9:30 p.m.

The DOTr earlier reported that from Dec. 15 to Jan. 3, MRT-3 would be operating as early as 4:30 a.m.
It said for Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, the first trips at the Taft Avenue Station and North Avenue Station would be at 6:30 a.m.
On the same dates, the Taft Avenue Station will serve passengers until 10:09 p.m., while North Avenue Station will be open until 9:30 p.m.
On Christmas and New Year’s Eve, the Taft Avenue Station will operate until 8:23 p.m., while the last train at North Avenue Station will leave at 7:45 p.m.
The Philippine National Railways has also released an advisory detailing the schedule of its last trips on Dec. 31 and Jan 1.
The last trip in Tutuban Station was extended by an hour at 11:11 p.m., while the last trip in Alabang Station was moved from 9:38 p.m. to 11:18 p.m.
