Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 15) — The Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) management said on Friday that it is preparing for the expected influx of 2.6 million passengers during the Christmas rush from Dec. 15 to Jan. 3.
\”PITX has collaborated closely with transportation operators to provide increased availability of buses, shuttles, and other public transportation options during this peak period. This proactive approach aims to minimize passenger waiting times and ensure smooth travel experiences,\” it said in a statement.
All public utility vehicles (PUV) will be inspected and stiffer safety measures will be implemented in coordination with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and the Philippine National Police (PNP), it added.
The transport hub operator said passengers may check trip schedules through its websites, social media live updates, and assigned terminal helpdesks.
It advised passengers to prepare early for their travel, adding that allocating sufficient time for boarding will help make their experience smoother.
