Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 15) — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will hold the next round of bidding for the automated elections system (AES) to be used for the 2025 midterm polls on Jan. 4 next year.
According to the schedule by Comelec’s Special Bids and Awards Committee, the deadline for the submission of bids will be at 9 a.m. and the opening for bids will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Meanwhile, a pre-bid conference will take place next week on Dec. 22.
The Comelec on Thursday declared the South Korea-based Miru Systems Co. Ltd., the lone bidder for the AES project, \”ineligible\” after it failed to comply fully with the legal requirements to bid.
This resulted in a failure of bidding.
