
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 8) — Manila Luzon won the Best Entertainment Host award at the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA) in Singapore on Thursday night.
Luzon bested five other hosts from Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, and Singapore, after getting a score of 19 out of 20 to declare her grand winner of the category, the award-giving body said during the ceremony.
The Filipino-American drag queen was recognized through her work in reality TV competition \”Drag Den Philippines.\”

\”Truly an honor to represent the Philippines, the LGBTQ & Drag communities! Salamat POSE!\” Luzon wrote on Instagram.
The drag artist was ecstatic when she got the \”Golden Goddess\” statuette and said, \”I have never won anything in my life.\” She also showcased her comedic chops during her speech.

She thanked the eight-member cast of the first season of Drag Den Philippines, as well as popular internet personality Sassa Gurl and Miss Grand International 2016 first runner-up Nicole Cordoves who are her co-judges on the show.
\”Thank you, queens, for making the risk to be on our show and to be the first drag queens to put yourself and your artistry out there on Filipino TV for all of Asia and the world to watch,\” Luzon said.
\”I am so blessed because I, as the host of the show, got a front row seat to the best drag show in the world,\” she also said.
\”Drag Den Philippines\” is produced by CS Studios, creator and director Rod Singh, and Antoinette Jadaone of Project 8 Projects. Luzon also thanked them during her speech.
Luzon, who is Karl Philip Michael Westerberg out of drag, became known internationally after competing on the third season of \”RuPaul’s Drag Race,\” a reality TV series in the United States.
