
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 17) — Local government units in certain areas have announced class suspensions on Friday, Nov. 17, due to heavy rainfall caused by the shear line and northeast monsoon or amihan.
In its public weather forecast early Friday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the shear line and amihan will bring rains over the eastern section of the Visayas and Luzon, respectively.
PAGASA added that the rest of the country will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms on Friday.
The areas where classes are suspended are:
Bohol – all levels (both public and private)
Negros Oriental – preschool to senior high school (both public and private)
Cebu
– Barili – preschool to senior high school (both public and private)
– Liloan – preschool to senior high school (both public and private)
– Minglanilla – all levels (public and private)
– Talisay City – preschool to senior high school (public)
