Aleia Aielle Aguilar repeats as youngest PH jiu-jitsu world champion

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 2) — Six-year-old Aleia Aielle Aguilar clinched her second straight title after beating hometown bet Maitha Faraj in the gold medal match Wednesday at the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship in the United Arab Emirates.

Aleia is the daughter of Alvin Aguilar, considered a pillar in the country’s mixed martial arts community, and former jiu-jitsu champion Maybelline Masuda.
