Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 25) — The golden crown remains elusive to the Philippines as Nikki de Moura failed to make it to the top 20 of Miss Grand International 2023 pageant in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on Wednesday.
This is the fifth time that a Philippine candidate did not make the cut in the pageant’s 11-year history.
Luciana Fuster of Peru won the golden crown, succeeding Isabella Menin of Brazil.
Meanwhile, this year’s runners-up were: Ni Ni Lin Eain of Myanmar, Maria Alejandra Lopez of Colombia, Sthephanie Marie of United States of America, and Le Hoang Phuong of Vietnam.
The pageant’s coronation night is currently ongoing.
The 19-year-old Filipino-Brazilian beauty works as a model for several brands. She finished second in the international reality modeling competition Supermodel Me in 2021.
The country has yet to win its first Miss Grand International crown.
