Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 16) — Authorities are still looking for Miss Grand Philippines candidate Catherine Camilon, who has been missing since Oct. 12, her mother said.
Rose Camilon said her daughter was last contacted around 8 p.m. on the same day.
“Ang huling sabi niya (Catherine) sa akin inaantay niya ‘yung kasama niya sa isang gasoline station sa Bauan, Batangas,” the mother told CNN Philippines on Monday, adding that she was unable to recall the name of Camille’s female companion.
[Translation: The last thing she said was she was waiting for her companion in a gasoline station in Bauan, Batangas.]
The 26-year-old beauty queen was reportedly driving her Nissan Juke car on the day she went missing.
She represented Tuy, Batangas in Miss Grand Philippines 2023 last July, where Cagayan de Oro’s Nikki De Moura was crowned.
Her sister Chin-Chin Manguerra Camilon has also been posting frantic messages on her Facebook page, asking her missing sister or anyone who sees her to contact the family.
