Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 4) — Triple header matches will kick off the season-ending conference of the Premier Volleyball League on Sunday, Oct. 15, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Headlining the opening day of the PVL All-Filipino Conference is the match between sister teams Choco Mucho Flying Titans and Creamline Cool Smashers at 7 p.m.
The Flying Titans will banner VTV Cup 2023 Best Opposite Spiker Sisi Rondina and Best Middle Blocker Maddie Madayag. Meanwhile, the Cool Smashers will try to defend their title despite the absence of veteran setter Jia De Guzman, who is currently in Japan to play as an import. The tournament opening will also feature matches between Gerflor Defenders and the newcomer Nxled Chameleons at 3 p.m.; and PLDT Home Fibr High Speed Hitters versus Cignal HD Spikers at 5 p.m. This will be the second All-Filipino Conference for the year in place of the Reinforced Conference after the FIVB did not allow the league to tap foreign players. According to the schedule released by the PVL, the single round eliminations will be held until Dec. 5 with matches to be held every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The top four teams after the elimination round will advance to the semi-finals.
