“Margielyn Didal fails gold defense in Asiad women’s skateboarding finals\ \ \n”

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 27) — Skateboarder Margielyn Didal failed to defend her title as she finished last in women’s skateboarding finals at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.

The 24-year-old skateboarder crashed to 8th place on Wednesday after only garnering a score of 23.39 in the first round and 12.83 in the second round. She also failed to complete three of her five tricks.

Didal sustained an injury on her left foot during a competition in Brazil last year, preventing her from replicating her gold medal triumph at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta.
