Mikal Bridges was a problem on the offensive end for Italy as he finished the match with 24 points and seven rebounds.
An 11-0 run enabled the Americans to pull away for good, building a 23-point lead in the second quarter.
A between-the-legs lob pass by Tyrese Haliburton to Paolo Banchero was the highlight in Team USA’s domination in the third period as they built an 83-44 advantage going into the final frame.
Haliburton chipped in 18 points and five assists, while Austin Reaves added 12 points and four rebounds for Team USA.
Simone Fontecchio showed the way for Italy with 18 markers and five boards.
