
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 5) — Some local government units in Luzon announced the suspension of classes and government work on Tuesday, Sept. 5, due to heavy rains and flooding brought by the southwest monsoon or habagat still enhanced by Typhoon Hanna.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on early Tuesday morning said the low pressure area spotted east of extreme North Luzon has developed into a tropical depression called “Ineng.”
