Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 26) — The Philippine national women’s football team has risen to 44th place in the world rankings following a historic campaign in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
After rising two places higher globally, the Filipinas are now also the 7th best female strikers in Asia.
Sarina Bolden scored the first-ever goal for the Philippines in the World Cup during a match against New Zealand in July.
