Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 16) – The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) on Wednesday said 19 ports are set to be completed before the end of 2023, including the ₱693-million rehabilitation project at Catagbacan Port in Loon, Bohol.
According to PPA, 11 projects are ongoing in Luzon, four in the Visayas and four in Mindanao.
A ₱620-million cruise ship terminal at Jubang Port in Surigao del Norte is also set to be completed this year, the PPA said.
Other port projects include the Balingoan port expansion project in Misamis Oriental and the rehabilitation of Claveria Port.
The port agency also said the PPA–Philippine Coast Guard K9 academy will also rise this year.
