
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 14) — The country recorded 924 new COVID-19 cases from Aug. 7 to 13, the Department of Health (DOH) reported on Monday.
Its weekly bulletin showed that an average of 132 daily cases were tallied, reflecting a 5% decline from the cases logged in the previous week.Of the new cases, 11 were severe while 238 patients were critical in condition.Health officials also verified 20 deaths due to COVID-19, 14 of which occurred in August.
As of Aug. 11, the nationwide tally of confirmed cases since the pandemic began stands at over 4.12 million with 3,314 active cases. At least 4.05 million COVID-19 patients have recovered, while more than 66,600 succumbed to the disease.
Over 78 million individuals, or 100.44% of the target population, have been vaccinated against COVID-19 while 23 million individuals have received their booster shots.
