Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 9) — Jeffrey Oh, the chief executive officer of Careless record label and actor James Reid’s business partner, has been released on bail, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) confirmed Wednesday.
BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval said Oh was freed from the bureau’s custody but is still facing deportation charges for violation of the Philippine Immigration Act of 1940.
Sandoval earlier confirmed that the 34-year-old Korean-American entrepreneur was arrested in Poblacion, Makati on July 28 after the BI received complaint that Oh was “engaging in gainful employment without the necessary work permit in violation of Philippine immigration laws.”
Oh runs Careless, an entertainment company founded by Reid, which also handles various artists including Liza Soberano.
