iKON returns to Manila for ‘Take Off’ tour on Aug. 5

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 1) — K-pop boy group iKON is returning to Manila for their “Take Off” world tour at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Aug. 5.

This marks the group’s first world tour since leaving K-pop giant YG Entertainment in December 2022 and signing with 143 Entertainment.

iKON is composed of Jay, Song, Bobby, DK, Ju-ne, and Chan. The group first met Filipino iKONICs, as they call their fans, during their “Continue” tour in 2018.

The group returned to the country in September 2022 as part of the lineup of the “K-pop Masterz Ep. 2 in Manila.”

In their latest concert tour, fans could expect to hear their classic hits “Love Scenario,” “Rhythm Ta,” as well as some of their new songs from their latest album, “Take Off.”

But Jay, the eldest member in the group, will not be able to perform for Filipino fans this time as he recently enlisted in the military.
