Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 30) — In a plebiscite on Sunday, residents of Bacoor City in Cavite voted to merge 44 barangays into just 18 and rename five others in a bid to ensure their economic growth and development.
The Bacoor City Government announced the approval of the merger on Sunday.
“Ang inyong pagboto ng YES! ay nagpapakita ng tunay na pagkakaisa at pagmamalasakit para sa mas maunlad na Bacoor,” it said on Facebook.
