Transport strike and PUV modernization | Politics as usual

The protest seeks to scrap the government’s modernization program for public utility vehicles which will eventually phase out the traditional jeepneys.

But the state transport regulator says the program will be done in phases to give stakeholders enough time to cope. It also warns those who will participate in the disruption of public transport services.
